JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable class one tramper driver to work on various contracts throughout the UK. The ideal candidate will have a can do attitude, can work on own initiative, and willing to go the extra mile when needed.
Our trucks aren’t brand new but are well looked after and have the comforts you would expect. We are a growing haulage company and this role would suit someone who maybe wants to be treated like human being and not a corporate number. We treat all our drivers fairly and with respect. If this sounds like good fit please get in touch. Please note as this is a tramper role there will be 4 nights away from base each week.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is essential.
  • Familiarity with wide load flatbed lorry operations is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in driving.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Operate curtain & flatbed lorries safely and efficiently in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Transport goods to designated locations, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of customer service.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo, securing it appropriately for transport.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel use, and any incidents that occur during transport.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding health, safety, and environmental practices.
