KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB:

  • A strong commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Previous mobile fitting experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (or time served) in a relevant discipline is preferable.
  • Experience with Heavy Vehicle / Trailer Maintenance and Servicing.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical HGV maintenance and servicing.
  • Must be happy to work on a mobile basis, covering North West London/ M25 Corridor.
  • Experience working on modern trucks and trailers would be beneficial.
  • Able to work under their own initiatives.
  • HGV class 1 would be advantageous.
  • Flexible working can be accommodated.
Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

We take pride in delivering all of our products in a timely manner, this is why this position is crucial in ensuring our operations run smoothly. You would be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of our fleet of heavy goods vehicles and trailers. This role would be working on a mobile basis, covering North West London/ M25 Corridor.

THE DUTIES ARE MANY AND VARIED, BUT THE LIST BELOW IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE BASIC REQUIREMENT:

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to trucks and trailers at both customer sites and the company’s sites.
  • Perform diagnostics and defect rectifications.
  • Prepare trailers for MOT inspections.
  • Fit and repair trailers as required.
  • Prioritise workload using own initiative, working closely with the Regional Fleet Manager.
  • Maintain mobile workshop van cleanliness and inventory management.
