Higginsville Habilitation Center is recruiting for a Accounts Assistant for the Accounting Department, to be a part of a highly effective team that supports over 200 employees, that makes a difference in the lives of adults with developmental disabilities. Higginsville Habilitation Center is a state-operated program within the Department of Mental Health and supports 40+ individuals receiving 24/7 services in a group home setting.
The Accounts Assistant must be detail-oriented, work well with others, have good time management skills, possess leadership skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be proficient with Microsoft Office and other computer programs, possess skills in operating office equipment and be willing to travel occasionally.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1 -3 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
This position examines and electronically processes purchase orders, requisitions, consumer fund requests, invoices and receipts. Will encumber funds and prepare documents for payment processing, manage petty cash funds and prepare bank deposits.
