Overview The Communication Director manages coordination of department and its programs, including community relations, media relations, publications, advertising, event planning, external communications and promotions; This is a multi-faceted job that requires organizational and multi-tasking skills, and grace under pressure. Qualifications Education required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations from an accredited college or university. Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in marketing/public relations required. Strong writing skills required. Additional Skills/Abilities: Ability to plan, organize and implement a comprehensive marketing program; Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a fundraising team of professionals and volunteers; Exceptional interpersonal skills; Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing; Ability to provide ongoing analysis of marketing programs; Motivation, innovation, and creativity in implementing compelling marketing campaigns for Foundation programs and events; Ability to involve and motivate others; Ability to multi-task, organize, plan and follow through with complex projects; Ability work under deadline pressures; Flexibility in hours when projects/events involve evening and weekend work. Outstanding work ethic and commitment to quality work a must! Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Adobe Suite; social media management; website management experience; and email marketing campaign creation and distribution.
