Overview You are devoted to inspiring philanthropic partners to invest in medical technology and programs that advance Huntsville Hospital's mission to improve the health of those served. Passion and purpose driven, the Director of Development will direct the Foundation's strategy involving individual giving, major corporate partners, and local government affairs, as well as manage the Foundation's proposal and grant writing strategy, community engagement strategy, and planned giving strategy. You'll engage with individual and corporate donors to build partnerships and promote giving. You will also serve as a lead advocate for the Foundation among local elected officials by building and maintaining relationships with policymakers and their staff and requesting funding. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in business management, marketing, or related field from an accredited college or university. Advanced degree preferred. Experience: Seven to ten years project development and management experience. Proven record in fundraising, development or related field in a non-profit environment. Additional Skills/Abilities Demonstrated ability to lead a team and achieve overall team success. Experience closing five-to-six figure gifts from individual and corporate donors. Experience securing funding from local government agencies Proficient with measuring and reaching income goals Excellent knowledge of fundraising information sources Data-driven approach to achieve annual fundraising goals Ability to navigate a wide variety of business and social settings and confidence in taking the Huntsville Hospital Foundation message to both existing and potential donors Experience with Raiser's Edge or other equivalent CRM system Experience in medical or academic development setting strongly encouraged About Us Highlights of our hospitals Huntsville Hospital was recently named Best Regional Hospital and #2 in Alabama by U.S. News & World Report.
