Huawei Milan Research Center At our Research Center we work on cutting-edge technologies in microwave and millimeter-wave communications, focusing on frequency bands such as E-Band, W-Band, and D-Band. Our research extends to free-space optical communications, advanced system architectures, antenna technologies, and contributions to standardization efforts. We also develop active phased array systems, focusing on innovative architectures and antenna array technologies. Additionally, we are engaged in research on optical RFICs, including drivers and transimpedance amplifiers (TIAs), as well as microwave and millimeter-wave IC used in power amplifiers and front-end technologies. Job title: High Gain Antenna Intern Job Type: Internship (Full-time/Part-time) Job Duration: 6 months Work Location: Viale Martesana 12, 20055 Vimodrone (MI) Research Intern in a nutshell The Microwave System Lab at the Huawei Milan Research Center is looking for a motivated R&D Intern to support the scouting and development of new technologies for High Gain Antennas used in Point-to-Point (P2P) wireless links. The internship will focus on technical research, electromagnetic simulation, and performance analysis of advanced antenna systems for microwave and millimeter-wave applications. The intern will actively contribute to ongoing cutting-edge research projects and collaborate with experienced researchers in the Wireless Department. What will be your main activities? · Develop and implement technical research activities related to High Gain Antennas for P2P wireless links. · Support the scouting and evaluation of innovative antenna technologies. · Participate in applied research projects focused on microwave and millimeter-wave antenna systems. · Perform electromagnetic simulations for antenna design optimization and performance evaluation. · Analyze RF system performance and contribute to technical documentation and reporting. · Work in laboratory environments for testing and validation (lab access required). What are the skills and qualifications required for the position? · Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunications (or related field); · Fundamentals of antenna design and antenna performance parameters; · Basic understanding of RF systems; . Basic experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., CST or similar EM/RF simulation software); · Python programming skills for data analysis and modeling; .
