In the target academic area of Science, the HIT instructor will deliver a high-quality, rigorous curriculum in a student-centered, inquiry-based environment, using formative and summative assessment data to drive instructional decision-making and student growth.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED

  • Minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience with a strong track record of student achievement (application will require documented evidence of student growth and achievement)
  • Experience in urban education or high-performing charter schools.
  • Valid Single Subject Science Teaching Credential in Biological Sciences (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Passion for educational innovation and teacher leadership.
  • Strong data-analysis skills, with the ability to use student performance data to drive instruction.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

QUALIFICATIONS - PREFERRED

  • Master’s degree in Education, Curriculum & Instruction, or a related field.
  • Training in instructional coaching models or teacher development programs.
  • Experience with project-based learning, culturally responsive teaching, and blended learning models.
