Locations: Multiple Locations - Elsternwick, South East Melbourne Region, Frankston, and Narre Warren

Award: SCHADS Level 2-3 (aligned to your skills and experience)
Transport: Car required (Valid driver’s licence)
Availability: Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday to start (open to Day and sleepover shifts). Additional shifts available across SE Melbourne and Peninsula regions.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for male support workers who are:

  • Local community members from the South East Melbourne, Frankston, or Narre Warren areas with a strong understanding of local community networks.
  • Resilient, patient, and skilled at building trusting relationships.
  • Able to maintain a calm and professional demeanour in complex situations.
  • Available for a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and sleepovers.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be based in and have an excellent knowledge of the South East Melbourne, Frankston, or Narre Warren regions.
  • Certificate III or IV in Disability, Mental Health, Community Services, or a related field.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
  • Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
  • A valid and clear National Police Check is mandatory.

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Lived experience or a peer work background.
  • Experience with high-intensity support, dual diagnosis, or psychosocial disability.
  • Understanding of NDIS documentation and compliance.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking resilient, confident male support workers to provide essential care to NDIS participants with complex needs. This role involves providing trauma-informed, person-centred support in homes and community settings across the South East, Frankston, and Narre Warren regions.
You will be a vital part of our participants’ support teams, promoting their psychosocial wellbeing and assisting them to live fulfilling lives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide daily living assistance and emotional support in a respectful manner.
  • Implement positive behaviour support strategies and respond calmly to challenges.
  • Prompt and administer medication as required.
  • Facilitate community access and social engagement.
  • Maintain accurate and timely shift notes and incident reports.
  • Work collaboratively with families, clinical teams, and other supports.
