Allianz is a world-leading life insurer in the savings and investments space, writing over EUR 70bn a year in premiums and managing nearly EUR 800bn in assets across multiple markets. You will be joining the Global Center of Competence Life (GCL) in Allianz SE, the holding company and headquarters of the Allianz group. GCL is the department that shapes and governs the execution of the strategy for our life insurance operating entities. Extending beyond strategy, GCL also works closely with operating entities to improve products, pricing, distribution practices etc. to drive implementation forward in projects of strategic focus. How can you make an impact? You will: Be responsible for shaping the growth of Allianz's wealth management business in the life insurance space by leveraging our leading position in life insurance savings as well as with the capabilities our asset management entities Identify product-related growth opportunities in the wealth management space that is well aligned a life insurer's capabilities. This includes (but is not limited to): general account savings products, estate planning solutions, hybrid or unit linked investment products, discretionary managed portfolio solutions etc. Validate and transform the identified opportunities into viable product concepts with our local business units. This will include adapting solutions to local market regulations and preferences, testing and refining concepts with local product and distribution teams as well as ensure the potential concepts are in-line with Allianz's product strategy and risk / profitability framework Co-develop go-to-market plans and supporting business cases of high potential concepts with our local business units, including getting buy-in from key stakeholders to pave the road towards implementation Continually monitor our key markets for innovative wealth management product solutions that are brought to market by not only our business units but also with relevant market peers; and utilizing this knowledge to foster new ideas in our own business units Continually monitor the sales and profitability performance of our existing suite of wealth management products across key markets to ensure progress in-line with business plans What are you made of? Minimum Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience in a product or sales / business development related role in a wealth manager (e.g. private bank, IFA), life insurer with a strong wealth management focus, or HNW broker. Academic qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. insurance, finance, economics, actuarial science) is required In-depth understanding of various wealth management product solutions in the life insurance space (e.g. PPLI / VUL / Jumbo Life Policies), including the fiscal and regulatory treatment of life insurance solutions in the context of wealth management Knowledge of asset management and private banking related solutions is a strong plus Solid grasp of the financials of a life insurance product, including the ability to work with actuarial teams to understand the financial impact of adopting or adapting various product features Good stakeholder management skills, particularly in terms of articulating and convincing others on potential ideas as well as being able to follow-up on implementation Ability to thrive in a primarily project-based working environment (i.e. peak-and-through nature of working hours, potential uncertainty of outcomes, reasonable project management skillset) Fluency in business English and another major European language (French or Italian preferred) Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solutions Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus Do we have what you need?
