JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to Warehouse Manager, the position includes the following responsibilities:

• Load and unload of trucks, trailers, containers
• Sort and check freight against customer delivery paperwork
• Restrain loads as per the National Load Restraint Guide
• Palletise and pack loads
• Handle general and non standard freight
• Hi Reach Forklift Operation
• Counterbalance forklift operation
• Heavy lifting and dunnage duties
• General Cleaning duties
• Securing and restraining loads in a safe manner as per operational requirements
• Perform vehicle pre-start checks
• Report all damage freight and shortages via the exception reporting process
• Perform general housekeeping of trailers, wagons and SCT’s premises
• Complying with the Warehouse Traffic Management Plan
• Ensure compliance with all of SCT’s policies, procedures and applicable state and federal legislation.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Current LF High Risk Work license.
• Experience operating a Hi Reach Forklift in a 3PL warehouse.
• Experience operating a Ride on BT
• Transporting freight in a safe and efficient manner.
• Knowledge & experience with load restraint procedures.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility
