Responsibilities The Infection Preventionist position requires mastery in knowledge of the risk of infection in patient and healthcare worker based populations. This position requires independent critical thinking and excellent decision making skills which allow quick communication of findings with leadership and implementation of action plans. This High Risk Infection Prevention Specialist communicates with and directs leadership, staff, and physicians in processes to maintain and improve patient/staff safety and the prevention of transmission of infection. Qualifications MPH, BS degree in Medical Technology or allied health field, or equivalent experience. Certification in infection control. Five (5) years Infection Prevention experience.
