SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Are you passionate about inspiring young minds and helping learners reach their full academic potential? South Devon High School is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and flexible individual to join our team in supporting 14-16 direct entry pupils.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this rewarding position, you’ll play a key role in motivating and supporting learners across a range of subjects and settings. You’ll be a vital part of their academic journey, helping them develop essential skills, confidence, and independence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Acting as a personal tutor and key contact for learners.
  • Leading assemblies, registrations, and tutorials.
  • Delivering high-quality cover lessons across subjects including PE, RE, PSHE, and Citizenship.
  • Coordinating projects such as attendance improvement, pastoral support, and rewards systems.
  • Supervising after-school study sessions and supporting homework and grade achievement.
  • Promoting high standards of behaviour and engagement.
  • Supporting learners with IT, Moodle, LEAP, and other learning technologies.
  • Creating and managing online learning resources and self-study packages.
  • Collaborating with curriculum teams to ensure learners meet their academic targets.
