Opportunity: Propel Schools is seeking an Assistant Varsity Track Coach for the 26-27 season starting this winter: * Propel Andrew Street High School * Propel Braddock Hills High School * Propel Montour High School Successful candidates will have: * Prior Varsity or Junior Varsity coaching experience * Preferred candidates will have student-athlete experience on the high school and/or intercollegiate level, prior high school coaching experience, & USATF certification * Preferred candidates will have experience as a head coach or assistant coach, playing experience, as well as the demonstrated ability to build a successful program starting at the varsity level * Responsibility for supporting the Varsity program with the head coach, athletic director and other coaching staff * Experience implementing off-season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations. * Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations. * Must possess effective coaching skills and knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport * High level of personal organization and planning * Strong communication and relationship building skills * Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development * A commitment to the Propel Habits Season Information: * The 2026-2027 Assistant Varsity Track Season is scheduled to begin in March and is anticipated to conclude in May, although the season may end earlier/later depending on if the team participates in postseason. * This position includes a seasonal stipend of $2,000. Please note that the stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season. Requirements: * Up-to-date TB Test * Act 34 Criminal Clearance * Act 114 FBI Clearance * Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance * Mandated Reporter Training

Responsibilities

Support the Varsity track program in collaboration with the head coach and athletic director. Implement off-season programs and ensure compliance with PIAA regulations.
