HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELOR - 0.6 FTE

Reports To: Building Principal
Salary: Per the FHEA Master Agreement Salary Schedule
Job Summary: Under the direction of the principal, the counselor will be working with students, focusing on individual counseling in both the academic and personal/social areas, group counseling of students having similar concerns, and leading classroom guidance activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters in Counseling required
• School Counselor Endorsement on Michigan Teaching Certificate or
• School Counseling License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk, hear (in a moderate or noisy environment). The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust/focus.
