Chaparral Star Academy is an open-enrollment public charter school in Austin, Texas serving students in grades K-12. CSA offers a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum in a compacted 4-hour daily schedule. Students attend either the morning session (7:45 am- 11:50 am) or the afternoon session (12:05 pm-4:10 pm), allowing more flexibility for extracurricular activities such as gymnastics, horseback riding, acting, hockey, figure skating or any passion the child may have. Class sizes are limited to 15 students per class, as we strive to enable young minds to pursue their passion in a community of excellence.
Chaparral Star Academy is accepting applications for the position of High School English instructor. We are seeking a highly motivated candidate to provide instruction in High School English I, II and III. The desired candidate will possess at minimum, a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, demonstrated knowledge of the core academic subject assigned, ability to instruct students and manage their behavior, strong organizational , communication, and interpersonal skills, and successful experience delivering quality instruction.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Previous teaching experience is preferred.
Salary is competitive, with TRS Active Care supplement of $614.00 covered by CSA.
