Description
We are looking for an English Teacher for a High School in Changsha. This position is available with an immediate start date. About the school This international high school in Changsha offers the GAC (Global Assessment Certificate) program and is an official ACT testing center, providing students with a clear pathway to overseas universities. With around 200 students and a small but growing international team. Job responsibilities Teach the subject of English to high school students utilizing the AP framework and ensuring an engaging and enriching learning experience Preparing lessons and lectures, tutoring techniques, designing and correcting assessments, and writing report comments Collaboratively teach alongside fellow educators, actively contributing to the development and enhancement of the school's curriculum Assess and monitor students’ progress and provide targets so that all learners can succeed and improve Provide clear and constructive feedback to students and their parents and caregivers Develop supportive and safe learning environments Approx. 16 to 18 teaching periods a week and no office hours Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field At least 2 years of teaching experience with second language learners TEFL/TESOL or equivalent certification is a plus Able to teach additional biology and/or chemistry is preferred Salary and benefits Base monthly salary range of 16,000 to 20,000 RMB commensurate with experience and qualifications Summer and winter holidays Public holidays Professional development opportunities Supportive and international teaching environment Medical insurance Work and residence permit sponsorship
