Description Gilbert Christian Schools is seeking a full-time high school English teacher for grades 9-12, beginning with the 2026-27 school year. Experience in and commitment to teaching the subject from a biblical worldview are essential for this position. In addition to teaching in their content areas, GCHS teachers are disciplers of their students in all contexts, including serving as small-group leaders weekly. Candidates should have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in English Education, English, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have a teaching endorsement or certificate (e.g., ACSI certificate, State certification) in English and at least 3 years of high school teaching experience. Candidates with an advanced degree or graduate-level coursework in mathematics who can be approved to teach college-level courses are highly desired. Candidate must agree with and support Gilbert Christian’s Statement of Faith. Responsibilities
The teacher will provide instruction in English for grades 9-12 while integrating a biblical worldview into the curriculum. Additionally, they will serve as a mentor and small-group leader to foster the spiritual and academic growth of students.
