Description Gilbert Christian Schools is seeking a full-time high school science teacher for Chemistry in grades 9-12, for the 2026-27 school year. In addition to formal training in science education, expertise and experience teaching the subject from a biblical worldview are important for this position. In addition to teaching in their content area, GCHS teachers serve as disciplers of their students in all contexts, including weekly small groups. Candidates should hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in science education, chemistry, or a related science field. Candidate must agree with and support Gilbert Christian’s Statement of Faith. Candidates who hold an advanced degree or have completed graduate-level coursework in Chemistry and are approved to teach college-level, dual enrollment courses are highly valued. Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance (IVP) card required
Responsibilities
The teacher will instruct high school students in Chemistry and serve as a spiritual guide in various contexts, including small group settings. They will also be responsible for fostering individualized instruction in a supportive Christian environment.
