Interns will gain hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional development training in a fast-paced, community-driven environment. Job Duties:   * Preparing and cooking pizzas, salads, and cinnamon rolls * Operating a cash register * Educating customers on our menu items, ingredients, and about the Slim & Husky’s brand * Maintaining fast, accurate service, positive guest relations, and ensuring products are consistent with Slim + Husky’s standards * Utilizing the correct tools & procedures to prepare, build and present food properly * Maintaining a clean, neat and well-stocked area so you are ready to serve guests * Performing housekeeping activities to ensure a clean and sanitized environment * Properly labeling, dating, rotating, and storing all food products. * Being a team player supporting and assisting your fellow team members whenever possible  * Other duties as assigned and needed Preferred Competencies:   * Team player * Excellent customer service skills * Communication skills * Conflict resolution * Time management  * Ability to multitask   General Information: Work Schedule Days and Hours:   M-THUR-10:00am-4:30pm OR 3:30pm-10:00pm Dress Code:   Work shirts provided will need nonslip shoes and black pants. Interns are responsible for providing their own transportation to all orientation, training, worksite, and cohort times. The POWER Youth program, previously known as Opportunity NOW, provides career exploration and work experience activities for youth 14 to 24 years old.
