Performs direct patient care such as bathing, assisting with elimination, bed making, and vital signs. Transports patients and patient-related materials in a safe, timely, and professional manner. Greets and orients patients to the patient care area. Performs meal service and feeding assistance functions. Provides additional select care to patients. Collaborates with other team members to perform other services as directed. Patient Care Technician The Senior Patient Care Technician works under the direction of a Registered Nurse. High School diploma or GED required Ability to use a computer for documentation and work related purposes Must be able to lift Must be available for one week of full-time training Three (3) months of Clinical Experience or CNA license required OR currently enrolled in Nursing school Medical Assistant The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice. As an MA, you will also actively participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices. Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program OR a High School Diploma/GED + one year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years. Medical Assistant certification required within 6 months of hire Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and available protocols Process referrals and medication refills

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care including bathing, vital signs, and transport under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Assist providers in ambulatory care with patient visits, laboratory tests, and documentation using the EPIC EMR system.
