William Academy is a private boarding high school in the beautiful town of Cobourg, Ontario. Our school has students from over 20 countries. William Academy is fully inspected by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Our school offers a range of classes from Grade 9 to 12, including university preparatory courses, art programs, sports programs, language programs, as well as online courses.

We are seeking an experienced high school math, physics, and computer science teacher to teach grade 9 to grade 12.

A successful candidate would use a variety of teaching strategies to meet and support the diverse learning needs of students; incorporate a variety of creative tools and teaching practices to enhance student involvement.

Teacher Housing Available: For teachers relocating to the area, William Academy may be able to provide teacher residence accommodations, helping make your transition to the community easier.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills with students, and administrators
  • Strong skills to work in a collaborative working environment
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Experience with teaching international students
  • Familiarity with Growing Success and triangulation of assessments
  • Familiarity with OneDrive, Zoom and Moodle
  • Develop daily lesson plans and prepare subject material according to the Ontario curriculum
  • Maintenance of student portfolios, including assessments For/As/Of Learning

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
