Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Math/Science Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. Duties
- Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions in high school-level math and science subjects, including algebra, geometry, biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Assist students with homework, test preparation, and understanding complex concepts.
- Utilize computer skills to incorporate educational software and online resources into tutoring sessions.
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly to ensure comprehension and confidence.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that motivates students to excel academically.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, or school staff to support student success when appropriate.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or high school students in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of high school-level math, science, and related subjects such as computer science or special education.
- Proven tutoring or teaching experience demonstrating the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Excellent communication skills and patience when working with diverse learners.
- Competency with computer skills and familiarity with educational technology tools.
- Classroom experience or background in education is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A passion for helping students succeed academically and develop confidence in their abilities.
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
