POSITION SUMMARY:

The High School Representative (HSR) plays a crucial role in promoting LaSalle College Vancouver to prospective high school students and their families. It is a hybrid campus-based position, working out of LaSalle College Vancouver (LCV) and a home office that markets to High Schools in a given territory to generate interest among students, teachers, guidance counsellors, and principals. HSRs must be able to conduct research, study LCV programs, and deliver educational and entertaining presentations in high school classes.
This position is a full-time, seasonal contract with the opportunity for annual renewal for the successful candidate. The preferred start date is late August. The position follows the High School academic year, ending mid-June the following year. It is typically expected that the incumbent will resume employment in the fall after the summer break and follow the same cycle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with high school students, parents, and educators.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Experience in sales, marketing, or recruitment, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with LaSalle College Vancouver’s programs and campus is an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with people from various social, economic, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle, a valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record. Must have good credit and qualify for or possess a credit card.

Responsibilities:

  • Meet annual high school visit, presentation, inquiry, and application plans. Collects quality, workable inquiries. Employ good qualifying techniques to meet conversion targets.
  • Manage high school territory by developing and building rapport with various departments and creating a comprehensive marketing plan.
  • Schedule and conduct presentations in appropriate classes. Maintains a future calendar, recorded in Outlook. (5 days per week)
  • Provide one-on-one consultations with prospective students and their families to answer questions and guide them through the admissions process.
  • Identify appropriate students to schedule appointments with Admission Advisors.
  • Proactively follow up with inquiries to ensure appropriate service. Assist Admissions and other departments with student matriculation.
  • Utilize technology, public speaking skills, current industry and LCV school information to deliver effective multimedia presentations.
  • Participate in appropriate recruitment and enrollment events, which include occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Assist in organizing and participating in open house events and other on-campus recruitment activities.
