We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Spanish Teacher to join our dynamic World Languages Department. The ideal candidate will inspire students to develop Spanish language proficiency and intercultural understanding through engaging, standards-aligned instruction. We are looking for a collaborative educator who brings creativity, strong classroom management skills, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Responsibilities:

  • Create a classroom atmosphere that encourages language exploration, cultural appreciation, and active learning.
  • Plan and deliver high-quality Spanish instruction aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district goals.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using diverse tools and strategies.
  • Communicate consistently with students, families, and colleagues to support student achievement and well-being.
  • Collaborate with department colleagues on curriculum planning, events, and enrichment activities such as language clubs or immersion experiences.
  • Participate in school meetings, professional development, and school-wide initiatives, including but not limited to the New Professional Staff Orientation and Mentor Program.Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • MA DESE license in Spanish (Grades 8-12) required.
  • Demonstrated fluency in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Prior teaching experience at the high school level is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
