WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for a skilled educator who is passionate about supporting diverse learners. The ideal candidate will:
Have at least 1-3 years of experience teaching Special Education and a strong understanding of culturally responsive education.
Be deeply committed to student outcomes, with the ability to create student-centered learning environments that respond proactively and reactively to students’ academic and social-emotional needs.
Be values-aligned, sharing SACS’s commitment to community, equity, and high expectations.
Have experience fostering effective inclusion practices and building positive classroom and school culture.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree (required).
Demonstrated subject matter competence through at least one year of teaching experience.
Massachusetts Teacher Certification in Special Education or successful completion of relevant MTELs (required).
Experience designing and implementing IEPs, including measurable goals and accommodations.
Skills in collecting and analyzing data to drive instructional decisions.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with families, students, and colleagues.
