ABOUT US:

Urban International School (UIS) is a private high school in North York, offering a dynamic and supportive learning environment for students preparing for post-secondary education. We are currently seeking a dedicated Supply Teacher for various subjects: English, ESL, Math, Science, Social Science- to join our team and provide on-call teaching support as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in related subject area, Education, or a related field.
• OCT certification (or in progress) is preferred.
• Previous experience teaching Ontario high school curriculum is an asset.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and work in a fast-paced environment.

• Deliver engaging and effective math lessons based on the Ontario curriculum.
• Maintain classroom management and ensure a productive learning environment.
• Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher or develop appropriate materials when necessary.
• Assess student understanding and provide feedback as required.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Collaborate with other faculty and staff to support student success.
