JOB SUMMARY:

At Brighter Horizon School, High School Teachers are instrumental in guiding and inspiring students in grades 9-12. As a High School Teacher, you’ll design engaging lesson plans aligned with our curriculum, foster positive learning environments, and empower students across various subjects.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey ideas.
  • Proficient classroom management abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build connections with students and parents.
  • Competency in utilizing educational technology to enhance instruction.
  • Ability to engage and motivate a diverse student body.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Teaching experience preferred, but we welcome enthusiastic new graduates.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and bend for prolonged periods.
  • Willingness to actively participate in various school activities.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to align teaching strategies and meet school-wide objectives.
  • Stay updated on best teaching practices through professional development opportunities.
  • Adapt lesson plans to optimize student learning and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate grade records and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Incorporate creative projects and hands-on activities to enhance understanding.
  • Customize lesson plans to accommodate the unique backgrounds and needs of our diverse student population.
  • Offer individualized support and academic assistance to students.
  • Clearly communicate learning objectives and expectations to students and parents.
  • Assess student performance effectively and offer constructive feedback.
  • Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques.
  • Foster collaborative relationships with parents to support student development.
