About the role
We are hiring a strong classroom teacher for Math and/or Science (Grades 9–12) who has completed their education in Canada and has teaching experience in Canada. We are looking for someone who combines academic strength with excellent classroom management, clear communication, and genuine care for students.
Key responsibilities
- Teach Ontario secondary courses (Academic/Applied as assigned), e.g., MPM/MFM/MCR/MHF/MCV and/or SNC/SBI/SCH/SPH
- Plan lessons, deliver instruction, assess and evaluate student learning
- Differentiate instruction for diverse learners (IEP, ELL, varied readiness)
- Maintain strong communication with parents/guardians and school leadership
- Contribute to school culture through supervision and school events
Required qualifications
- Teacher education completed in Canada (e.g., B.Ed) and Canadian classroom experience
- Strong content knowledge in Math and/or Science (Intermediate/Senior level preferred)
- Familiarity with Ontario Curriculum and assessment practices
- Strong professional references and a track record of reliability (amanah)
Preferred (strong assets)
- Ontario Certified Teacher (OCT) in good standing (preferred; not mandatory for Ontario private schools)
- AQs in Math / Science / Spec Ed; experience with IEPs
- Comfort with Google Classroom / LMS tools and data-driven instruction
Screening & safety requirements
- Successful candidates must provide a Police Record Check including Vulnerable Sector (or be willing to obtain it)
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Mississauga, ON L5N 5R1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
