Position Overview St. Michael High School is seeking an energetic and mission-driven Vice Principal to join our leadership team. The Vice Principal supports the Principal in ensuring the effective operation of the school, fostering a strong Catholic identity, and providing leadership in academics, student life, and discipline. The ideal candidate is a collaborative and visionary leader who can inspire students, support faculty and staff, and partner with families to advance the mission of St. Michael High School. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Principal to implement the school’s vision, mission, and strategic goals. Provide leadership in the development and implementation of academic programs, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. Oversee student discipline and behavior management, promoting a safe and respectful learning environment. Support and supervise faculty and staff through coaching, evaluation, and professional development. Partner with the Principal in managing daily school operations, scheduling, and campus logistics. Promote a positive school culture rooted in Catholic values, faith formation, and student well-being. Coordination of short-term and long-term substitutes for teachers. Works in tandem with our inclusive education department to coordinate accommodations for students with SEPs. Serve as a key liaison with parents and guardians, ensuring open communication and partnership in the education of students. Administration of federal title funding and related programs. Actively participate in school liturgies, prayer services, retreats, and faith-based activities, supporting the spiritual life of the community. Qualifications A practicing Catholic in full communion with the Church, committed to living and witnessing the faith in daily life both inside and outside the classroom. Master’s degree in Education, Administration, or related field (preferred). Valid administrative credential/certification (or willingness to pursue). Minimum of 3–5 years of successful classroom teaching experience; prior administrative or leadership experience strongly preferred. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to foster a positive, faith-filled, and disciplined learning environment. Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
