We currently have a vacancy for a High Speed Operations Manager to cover our South East region (North/Midlands/South East). Reporting in to the Regional Manager this person will be responsible for managing and delivering work on the high-speed road network with a focus on safety, quality of delivery and operational efficiency. Leading a team and working alongside other senior leaders to grow our high-speed capabilities within the Region. The role requires some travel across the region and occasional UK travel and therefore flexibility to meet business demands is essential. There may also be occasional night and evening work required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• High speed Traffic Management knowledge, experience and qualifications are essential.
• TCSO and / or IHE qualifications are desirable.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintaining and growing existing key relationships with customers through strong working relationships and ensuring our customers needs and expectations are met.
• Complete site audits
• Ensuring safe methods of work are followed
• Implementation and adherence to policies and procedures
• Ensuring compliance with National Highways’ standards
• Ability to work with and share resources across the business
• Upskilling and supporting depot managers in the delivery of HS work
• Supporting delivery of Major Projects to the required standard
• Line management of High Speed operational delivery team
• Supporting depot managers with engaging with operatives
• Overseeing the booking in, resourcing and planning of works
• Lead investigations into incidents and implement any actions as needed
• Support with recruitment and internal upskilling strategy to ensure our talent pipeline for High Speed operatives meets our operational requirements
