Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the Operations Team, you will be responsible for carrying out HV cable jointing and terminations in line with Powersystems’ strategy.
Joining Powersystems as an HV Cable Jointer means helping to shape the future of clean energy. In return, well support your development with qualifications and professional memberships.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carry out HV cable jointing and terminations on 11 kV and 33 kV (experience on higher voltages desirable but not essential).
  • Carry out earthing and cable installations.
  • Support electricians and other trades on larger installations.
  • Act as installation lead on projects, reporting to the Site and Project Manager.
  • Mentor and coach less experienced staff and apprentices.
  • Assist with site breakdowns and investigations.
  • Work safely, adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Receive safety documentation and act as a competent person.
  • Take responsibility for company property entrusted to you.
  • Contribute to the success of Powersystems and its clients.
  • Proactively enhance the business services and improve efficiency.
  • Uphold a professional image and demonstrate company values.
