Are you an Electrical Engineer looking to further develop your experience in high-voltage systems? ACCIONA Energía is seeking a High Voltage Engineer to support the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of HV infrastructure across our growing portfolio of renewable energy assets (5 operational sites and two projects in the latter stages).

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Senior HV Engineer to oversee HV activities, ensuring the reliability of substations, transformers, lines, protection systems and other HV/MV assets.
• Support commissioning and integration of new assets, assisting in maintenance procedure development and technical documentation.
• Oversee preventive maintenance strategies, troubleshoot equipment issues, conduct failure analysis, and root cause identification.
• Assist in managing spare parts inventory and procurement to ensure long-term asset reliability.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience with High Voltage assets (such as substation, transformer, circuit breaker and protection relay etc) in a maintenance environment.
• Proactive, problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• A valid Australian driver’s license with flexibility to travel as required.
• In compliance with Security of Critical Infrastructure (SOCI) Act 2018, this role is defined as critical worker and labelled at ACCIONA Energia as a Privileged Access Worker (PAW). Privileged Access Workers (PAW’s) are required to obtain satisfactory results from Acciona’s Suitability Assessment prior to commencement, this forms part of our standard pre-employment checks.
