Job Description Lead end-to-end delivery of 132 kV, 230 kV, and 275 kV electrical infrastructure. Develop schedules, budgets, procurement strategies, and risk plans specifically for EHV works. Oversee design reviews, construction milestones, and energization planning. Manage installation, testing, and commissioning of: 132–275 kV substations Power transformers (e.g., 60 MVA–500 MVA range depending on project) EHV GIS switchgear Transmission cable routes and terminations Protection & control systems (distance relays, differential protection, SCADA, etc.) Validate SLDs, load studies, short-circuit calculations, BIL ratings, and utility interface drawings. Ensure compliance with local grid codes, utility transmission standards, and international standards (IEEE/IEC). Enforce HV/EHV safety requirements, switching procedures, and live‑working restrictions. Lead QA/QC inspections, FAT, SAT, and site audits. Act as the primary liaison with transmission authorities (e.g., TNB Grid, SP PowerGrid, etc.). Manage EPC contractors, protection specialists, and cable installation teams. Review claims, change orders, test reports, commissioning certificates, and as-built documentation. Lead multi-stage energization processes: Pre-commissioning Protection scheme testing System integration with LV/MV distribution and backup power systems Ensure complete documentation for energization approval and operational readiness. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent Minimum 10 years in electrical infrastructure within mission-critical facilities (data centers, power plants, utilities, advanced manufacturing) Proven experience delivering 132–275 kV transmission or substation projects. Strong understanding of: EHV protection relays & schemes SCADA and grid communication systems IEC/IEEE transmission standards Cable route engineering and power system studies Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera P6. Strong leadership and stakeholder management. Excellent communication and reporting skills. Ability to handle high-stakes energization and project pressure.
