Peppino’s Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced high volume kitchen manager. This is a full time position that provides full benefits and requires immediate availability. Salary based on experience. Interested candidates should possess the following attributes:
Kitchen experience, in a leadership capacity, of at least three years.
Advanced knowledge of labor and food costs.
Experience in scheduling and crew management.
Culinary degree preferred with experience in menu building and strategy.
Current food safe certification and advanced knowledge of relevant food safety protocol.
Knowledge of catering and large group service standards (family style, plated, seating, etc).
Experience in managing the rush and maintaining efficient ticket times.
An ability to assess talent and manage team members effectively.
Knowledge of current industry and regional trends.
Ability to work with FOH management and service staff to achieve sales goals.
Effective inventory management and sanitation protocol.
A positive attitude and ability to motivate team members is essential.

Kitchen Manager to supervise daily back of house restaurant operations. Kitchen Manager responsibilities include supervising the food prep and cooking, maintaining a fully-stocked scratch kitchen inventory and complying with safety and cleanliness standards. To be successful in this role, you should be able to manage our kitchen staff and guide them to deliver quality food on time. Ultimately, you will ensure all plates are properly cooked and served and our customers have a pleasant dining experience.

SKILLS

  • Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, Restaurant Manager or Head Chef
  • Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients
  • Knowledge of a wide range of recipes
  • Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Conflict management abilities
  • Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment
  • Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
  • Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management is a plus
