Description

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join the physiologist staff of the Multidisciplinary Respiratory Team for the Lung Function Unit based at Russells Hall and Corbett Hospital.
This is a permanent post and the successful applicant is not expected to have experience in any of the main duties. Full training will be provided in all aspects of the job and the post holder’s competence to perform any given task will be assessed. The post-holder will be required to complete an in-house training programme and attain the required levels of competence.
The post-holder will be required to perform a range of routine lung function tests, sleep studies and to assist with the day to day running of the service. These tests will be primarily performed as an outpatient basis on the adult population.
Spirometry will be the main diagnostic breathing test that will be performed along with the issuing of domiciliary sleep study equipment.
