Responsibilities
  • Salary up to £41,414 FTE (up to £36,377 pro rata), with a provisional uplift to £43,138 FTE (up to £37,891 pro rata) pending approval
  • Permanent position – offering long-term stability
  • 32.5 hours per week, spread across four long days – with the option to job-share (3 days on the FdSc course and 1 day on the BSc course)
  • Based in the Lewes and Eastbourne areas, with flexibility to work where needed
  • Lead and teach on FdSc and BSc Person-centred Counselling programmes and contribute to other Higher Education courses as appropriate
  • Take responsibility for planning and delivering high-quality courses, ensuring effective implementation of quality processes with accrediting partners
  • Guide and support a team of staff, ensuring consistency and quality across all programmes
  • Act as a lecturer to both full-time and part-time adult students, encouraging student-centred learning and providing pastoral care
  • Plan schemes of work, workshops, teaching materials and resources – ensuring everything is in place to inspire and engage learners
  • Prepare for and attend Student Course Boards, Academic Boards, Exam Boards and other quality processes to maintain high standards
    We’re looking for someone with current or recent counselling experience, and a background as a lecturer or trainer in counselling education - plus you’ll be a BACP or NCPS member.
