JOB SUMMARY

Kumon Math & Reading Saskatoon North is seeking a qualified and motivated Higher-Level Math Instructor to support students working on advanced mathematics within the Kumon program. This position requires strong subject knowledge, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering independent learning in students.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated proficiency in mathematics through calculus (post-secondary coursework in mathematics or a related field preferred).
• Previous experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring students in mathematics at the high school or post-secondary level.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.
• Reliable, organized, and committed to student development.
  Job Type: Part-time
  Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 4:00 - 7:30
  Wage: Starting at $18/hour based on individual experience.

• Provide instruction and support to students completing higher-level Kumon math worksheets (algebra, functions, trigonometry, calculus, and beyond).
• Monitor and evaluate student progress to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and understanding.
• Offer clear explanations and guidance when students encounter challenges.
• Collaborate with the Centre Director to assess student readiness for advancement.
• Maintain a positive and professional learning environment.
