Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking to recruit an experienced Higher Level Support Worker to be based at Hedley’s Horizons Hub in Killingworth. The role will involve assisting the activity lead and helping to support in the delivery of activities within the groups. This site offers a provision to meet the needs of people with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
Hedley’s Horizons helps to support individuals to participate in a variety of activities and enterprise sessions. It offers a busy, vibrant, and varied environment that supports adults with disabilities such as autism, communication and sensory impairments and complex needs.
The role will involve working
Mondays 8.45 - 4.15pm
Tuesdays 8.45 - 4.00pm
Wednesdays 8.45 - 4.00pm (6.00pm once every 4 weeks)
Thursdays 8.45- 4.00pm
Fridays 8.45 - 4.00pm
It is important to be a real team player. Flexibility with an ability to adapt and respond to evolving situations is an important skill for our team that helps us maintain the highest level of care and support. Due to the nature of this role a minimum of 2 years experience working as a support worker is essential and experience of working with individuals with ASC or PMLD would be desirable.
