Rotherfield Primary School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team and help us continue to develop our PE and sports provision.    About the Role   As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant at Rotherfield, you will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning across the school with a strong focus on PE. You will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons, support children’s progress, and contribute to a positive and purposeful learning environment. Your responsibilities will include: * Teaching PE as part of PPA cover * Promoting positive behaviour through our therapeutic thinking approach. * Organising and managing learning spaces and resources safely. * Building strong relationships with children, colleagues, and families to support each child’s development. * Organise sporting events with local schools and accompany children to the events.    This role offers the chance to make a lasting impact on children’s educational journeys and to grow your own professional skills within a supportive and forward-thinking school. Responsibilities
The Higher Level Teaching Assistant will play a pivotal role in supporting teaching and learning, focusing strongly on Physical Education by planning and delivering engaging lessons, often as PPA cover. Responsibilities also include promoting positive behaviour using a therapeutic thinking approach, organizing resources, building strong relationships, and accompanying children to organized sporting events.
