HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT

Scale 5, Spine Point 12-15

£27,849 - £29,092 actual gross salary*

• 35 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Heronsgate is an outstanding primary school based over two sites,
one in West Thamesmead and the other at Burrage Grove in Woolwich.
We are looking for a friendly, energetic and enthusiastic HLTA who is qualified or willing to gain the HLTA status within a year.

We need higher level teaching assistants:

• Who have a minimum of NVQ Level 4 or equivalent or are prepared to start the course within a year
• Who have English and Maths at Level Two (GCSE A*- C/9-4) or equivalent
• Who can demonstrate effective contributions towards raising educational standards
• Who have a clear understanding of the processes required for managing the planning, preparation and delivery of lessons
• Who can demonstrate an understanding of appropriate strategies for behaviour management
• Who have worked as a Learning Support Assistant/Teaching Assistant
