HLTA / TEACHING ASSISTANT – VARA SPORTS AND EDUCATION

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

• HLTA, Teacher, or ECT with strong classroom skills
• Strong communicator and motivator with the ability to build positive relationships
• Team player: reliable, flexible, and committed
• Highly organised with good time management
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant/HLTA (desirable)
• Experience working with SEND children (highly desirable)
• DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Experience:

Work Location: In perso

• Deliver small group interventions in Years 3 and 4 (mornings)
• Provide PPA cover across Reception, Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 (afternoons)
• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
• Ensure all children are engaged, safe, and supported effectively
• Cover occasional short-term teacher absences when required
• Assist children with SEND needs, promoting inclusion at all times
