Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) / Aspiring HLTA with Pastoral Lead Responsibilities

Defford and Besford CE Primary School is seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and nurturing HLTA, or an experienced Teaching Assistant who would like to work towards HLTA status, to join our committed team. This is a varied role combining classroom support and teaching responsibilities with a key pastoral lead aspect, supporting children’s wellbeing, attendance and engagement. The successful candidate will be passionate about inclusion, able to build positive relationships with pupils and families, and committed to helping every child thrive. Disclosure Barring Service (DBS)

This post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and as such appointment will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of criminal records via the Disclosure and Barring Service before the appointment is confirmed. This will include details of cautions, reprimands, or final warnings, as well as convictions. The County Council has a commitment to safeguarding service users in our care.
