Sylvan Learning Centre of SE Calgary is in search of an upper-level Math/Science Tutor. This role would be ideal for an accomplished Tutor/Teacher or University graduate with excellent proficiency in the sciences and maths.

One of the biggest contributors to our success is our tutors. It is crucial that our team of teachers provide a warm, encouraging environment with strong emphasis on skills development and mastery learning.

We offer full training in a variety of programmes (reading, math, study skills, homework support, and more.) We do our best to match a tutor’s skill set, background, and qualification with student(s) in need of equally unique support.

Programs and lesson plans are developed by our full-time staff. Sylvan tutors require little to no prep-time in order to start teaching students. Teachers are provided with an extensive variety of materials and manipulatives to use for instruction enhancement. Our dedicated and experienced full-time staff handle all communication with parents or guardians, so you get to do what you like best: teach!

The successful applicant will be competent with high school level science and math, be able to teach through Grade 12, and have evening and weekend availability. This role is a part-time position offering hours on a flexible and rotating basis.
