What You’ll Do as a Highway Design Engineer Demonstrated ability to efficiently manage highway design projects, including drainage, alignments, and related tasks. Prepare and maintain comprehensive design plans, detailed specifications, technical reports, and accurate cost estimates. Ensure designs adhere to state and local standards, regulations and safety codes. Promote, utilize and support QA/QC processes to guarantee quality deliverables. Collaborate with internal teams, clients, subconsultants and agencies to ensure seamless project delivery. Proactively support project managers with schedules, documentation, and presentations. Salary range excludes monetary value of benefits. #LI-Hybrid Requirements What You Bring, Your Expertise as a Highway Design Engineer B.S. degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, Master’s preferred 5-10 years of transportation experience Highway Design Engineering experience preferred EIT required Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it Proficiency in MicroStation, STAAD, OpenRoads, and Bridge Design Software preferred. Familiarity with state DOT design standards (NYSDOT or PennDOT preferred) Professional performance standards aligned with Fisher’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values.
