WHAT YOU BRING, YOUR EXPERTISE AS A TRANSPORTATION GROUP HIGHWAY MANAGER

  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  • 8-15 years’ experience in civil transportation engineering
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) preferred or ability to obtain it
  • Prior staff management preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office; MicroStation preferred
  • Familiarity with NYDOT design standards preferred
  • Professional performance standards aligned with Fisher’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values
  • Proven ability to deliver quality work through critical thinking, problem-solving, and sound judgment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the design and execution of highway engineering projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Serve as the technical expert, guiding the team on best practices, decisions, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Implement and oversee quality control processes and conduct technical audits to ensure high standards.
  • Maintain effective communication with project managers, clients, and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation, adequate staffing, and utilization to meet project and team goals.
  • Assist in recruiting top engineering talent who align with the team’s technical excellence and company culture.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance team performance.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, integrating them into project solutions.
