We’re recruiting multiple Highway Maintenance Supervisors to join our Shropshire based team. What we are looking for: Permanent or contract opportunities available Full UK Driving Licence (essential) - WITH 6 POINTS OR LESS. Driver checks will be completed Immediate start dates available Work rota - varying shifts, overtime and weekend working available All company equipment and PPE provided Proven experience in highways maintenance and supervision Knowledge of asphalt works (hand lay and machine lay) Experience with ironworks, kerbs and flag replacement Ability to manage teams on live carriageway and planned works Licence/Certifications required: ***YOU MUST HAVE A CURRENT CSCS CARD OR PROOF OF APPLICATION FOR ONE*** Full UK Driving Licence (essential) - WITH 6 POINTS OR LESS. Driver checks will be completed CSCS Green card minimum Streetworks supervisor or operative certification (desirable) SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification (desirable) Traffic management, abrasive wheels & manual handling (desirable) Plant qualifications such as ride-on roller and CAT & Genny (desirable) Work locations include: Shropshire Multiple vacancies are available for experienced Highway Maintenance Supervisors to lead and support our gangs across planned maintenance and reactive works. Location: Mobile worker - on the road Key responsibilities: Supervise and coordinate highways maintenance teams carrying out pothole repairs, patching, resurfacing support and surface dressing assistance Plan, organise and monitor asphalt works (hand lay and machine lay) to meet quality standards Oversee lifting and replacement of ironworks, kerbs and flags ensuring safe and accurate installation Implement and enforce site traffic management plans and work with traffic marshals where required Manage small plant and tools, ensuring checks, maintenance and safe operation Complete and review site paperwork, defect reporting, daily checks and supervisor reports Ensure compliance with health & safety, method statements and quality procedures Provide on-the-job training, mentoring and support to operatives to maintain performance and development Liaise with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to meet programme requirements and timeframes Person specification: Demonstrable experience supervising highways maintenance teams Strong practical knowledge of asphalt, ironworks, kerbing and carriageway repairs Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills Reliable, decisive and able to manage competing priorities on site High focus on health & safety and adherence to procedures Flexible to work varying shifts, weekends and overtime where required In return you’ll receive: All required equipment and PPE provided Competitive rates or salary depending on role type Ongoing training, development and clear progression routes Wellbeing support and a people-focussed working environment Immediate start where available More About Multevo Multevo are a forward-thinking company who value the people that work towards our shared success.
