Job Description DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to conduct a variety of Highway Maintenance Services, as well as other related tasks under close supervision. We are seeking a qualified applicant that will train in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Clean and clear culverts. Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides. Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders. Assist in storm cleanup. Fence and sign repair. Litter/debris removal. Emergency response. Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance. Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc. Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc. Qualifications EDUCATION: High School Diploma or Equivalent is required. EXPERIENCE: Must be at least 18 years of age or older. Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving. Able to work in adverse weather conditions. Able to lift moderately heavy objects. Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time. Accurate eye-hand coordination. Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and work schedules due to workload or season display.
