Overview The Medical Records Technician II develops and/or supports Medical Record Department processes to include but not limited to chart analysis, physician deficiency management, workflow engineering, and productivity standard creation and monitoring. Tasked with reviewing medical records for provider deficiencies, the technician enters and monitors assigned deficiencies via the hospital EMR. Performs medical record audits to ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards Qualifications Education: HS/GED required. Experience: Minimum one year experience in the healthcare industry. Comparable combination of experience and education will be considered. Additional skills/Abilities: Previous electronic health record or other healthcare system technical experience is required. Professional demeanor with effective, tactful, and persuasive written, verbal, and nonverbal communication skills. Previous client and/or patient customer service experience. Proficiency in use of personal computers including MS Word and Excel.
