Job Details Job Location: Lake Region Healthcare Corporation - FERGUS FALLS, MN 56537 Position Type: 48 Hour Biweekly Salary Range: $17.41 - $21.54 Hourly Job Category: Administrative Support/Clerical The Health Information Management (HIM) Technician ensures proper medical documentation requirements are complete for all patient medical records/charts and completion of scanning, filing, indexing, transporting all medical records/documents upon request and attachment of late reports. The incumbent has access to sensitive, confidential information and must be able to maintain those confidences. The incumbent establishes the work procedures and priorities with imposed deadlines. Hours/Shifts 48 hours biweekly, day shifts from 8am-4:30pm Compensation Hourly Wage Range: $17.41-$21.54. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations. Qualifications Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills and/or abilities. Education/Special Skills: Prefer high school or equivalent level of education. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and writing along with effective interpersonal skills. Completion of an accredited Health Information Technician course preferred. RHIT preferred. Knowledge of EMR & able to assist with EMR maintenance. Knowledge of documentation requirements for patient medical records. Adequate computer/keyboarding skills a must. Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process required. Must be able to attend the work site per schedule.
Responsibilities
