Hindsight Credit Manager We have an exciting opportunity for a Hindsight Credit Manager to join the Heartland Bank Australia team based in Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane Australia. Is this your next role? You will provide independent credit assurance across the Group, focusing on Reverse Mortgages and Livestock Lending. You will play a key part in ensuring our credit risk policies, processes, and risk appetite are applied consistently and effectively. Does this sound like you? Key responsibilities Conduct hindsight reviews of credit applications and settled files across all business units. Evaluate credit decisions against Risk appetite, Group policies, and Commercial Perform reviews on adherence to approval processes and delegated authorities Execute the credit assurance program, including sector and portfolio reviews. Produce high-quality insights and review findings for stakeholders Collaborate with business and risk functions to support sound risk management practices. Recommend and implement process improvements based on findings You’re a pro with: Strong credit risk expertise, including credit assessment and policy knowledge. Experience in a similar role, such as credit review, credit risk, or Line 2 function preferably in Banking & Finance Understand relevant regulations (e.g., Consumer Credit Code, Code of Banking Practice). Strong analytical, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Ability to produce high-quality written reports and insights. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Qualifications/Certifications Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Business are highly regarded. 3 years’ experience working for a bank or finance company preferred. Comprehensive knowledge of the rural and retail sector preferred.
